Services

Each guest will receive a welcome drink on arrival.

A cook and a domestic assistant are on site from 7AM till 7PM. Prolonged presence can be arranged via our local contact person for an extra fee.

Every morning all rooms will be cleaned. The cook can prepare exquisite Indonesian meals for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. Continental breakfasts can be served as well. Meals can be selected from an extensive list that is available on site. You can inform the cook the evening before what you would like for breakfast in the morning, or also what dinner or lunch. The cook will only charge you for the local cost of the required ingredients.

A security guard will be present around the clock.

Sheets, towels and pooltowels are available on site and will be changed regularly by staff.

Tapwater is not fit for direct consumption. Staff will provide ample decanter with fresh water. Coffee and tea are available on request. Softdrinks, beer, wine and snacks can be purchased from the local supermarket at local prices.

An electronic safe is available.

Laundry and dry cleaning are available on request and will be charged at local prices.

The living room is fitted with state of the art audio and television. A satelite dish is available.

Bali has a tropical monsoon climate
The island is fairly close to the equator, so it's always hot and it has really only 2 seasons: dry and rainy.
Average temperature is the same throughout the year. There is difference between day and night, during the +/- 28°C and night +/- 22°C. The temperature of sea water is almost the whole year around 28°C.

The dry season runs from May to November and the rainy season from November to May. Even in the rainy season the sky can be clear. When it rains it are short but intense storms.
As everywhere in the tropics, it rains usually in the late afternoon or at night, the mornings are usually bright and sunny.

Travel documents
For a visit to Indonesia, you're required to have a visa. When your stay would not be longer than 30 days, you can upon arrival at the airport obtain a visa (target 25EUR).
If you're going for a period, longer than 30 days, you need to request a visa before.

 

 


Phone and Internet
On site you can do local calls. The manager will be happy to help you in arranging a taxi, excursions, ... . Wireless internet is available.

Transport
You can rent a car with a driver at a rate of €50 a day. Bikes and mopeds can be rented locally at €8 a day. Our local contact will gladly inform you further.

From and to the airport
On arrival at Denpassar airport a pickup service will bring you from the airport to the villa, a 30 minutes drive.

Payment in Bali
The local currency in Indonesia is the Indonesian Rupiah. Price on 26/03/2008 (purely for information), 1 euro = 14159.4 IDR. A pocket calculator is therefore recommended.
The euro is now well established everywhere, and in exchange rates and hotels easily exchanged and accepted than the USD (certain series of volumes of the USD can be refused).
Luxury spending as diving trips can always be settled in euros.
Indonesia has an extensive network of ATM's connected to the VISA / Cirrus / Maestro network.

Mobile phone and communication facilities
Most mobile operators have roaming agreements with the Indonesian operators (Telkomsel, Indosat and XL). For further information and activation, please consult your mobile operator.

Language
The official language is Bahasa Indonesia. English is widely spoken and understood.
